Alfredo Murcia is probably one of the people who knows the most about the needs and processes of the CAE sector (Coordination of Business Activities). The outsourcing of services requires compliance with regulations that must be documented person by person, worker by worker, tool by tool. This obligation, multiplied by potentially thousands of employees and subcontracted tools, demands software solutions and associated services for proper management. This has been Alfredo’s area of expertise for many years.

Before entering the CAE world, Alfredo—always drawn to technology—completed his studies as a Telecommunications Engineer in Madrid.

He then began his professional career at Telefónica, where he started leading projects for the expansion of internet services. This work led him to spend two years in Peru, Central America, and the USA, overseeing the deployment of major internet service infrastructures in more than 20 countries across Europe and Latin America.

Upon returning to Spain, he foresaw the growing importance of CAE document management and founded Externalia, developing its flagship product, eGestiona—currently the most advanced CAE and OHS management software. Following a continuous improvement model, eGestiona enables its users to efficiently manage worker and tool approval and authorization, access control, audits, prevention, quality, legislation, and more.

In 2021, Alfredo integrated his company into the BSG Group, leveraging group synergies to achieve 100% organic growth in just three years and an expected 300% growth via inorganic expansion by 2025 through the acquisition of several companies. This rapid growth has taken Externalia from 16 employees in 2021 to 230 today, establishing a strong national and international presence, leading the market in Spain and Latin America, and with well-structured expansion plans across Europe and EMEA.
