Pablo Restrepo

Pablo is an economist from the University of Los Andes in Colombia, with a strong academic background that has enabled him to excel in the financial sector. Over the past four years, he has worked at Patria Investments, the largest alternative asset manager in Latin America, specializing in private equity in the region. His experience spans multiple industries and projects, strengthening his ability to analyze markets and lead strategic initiatives.

Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the full mergers and acquisitions (M&A) cycle. This includes structuring investment theses, market mapping, developing detailed financial models, creating business plans, and participating in transaction document negotiations. He has been involved in more than 20 transactions across various industries, including cold chain logistics, food distribution, quick-service restaurants (QSR), pharmaceuticals, and software development, demonstrating exceptional adaptability and knowledge of different market dynamics.

In addition to his M&A experience, Pablo has expertise in project finance and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). During his time at one of the fund’s portfolio companies in the photovoltaic energy generation sector, he successfully secured a financing agreement worth approximately US$250 million—the largest to date in Colombia. His analytical mindset and attention to detail, combined with his commitment to teamwork, have allowed him to achieve outstanding results in complex projects.
